What better way to drown your sorrows than with a tub of ice cream and talking to your mom! We open with Lux talking to Cate about Bug’s departure over a tub of ice cream while Cate tries to be the good mom by listening and giving advice telling her that she can always come to her if she needs anything. I’m not for the mushy moments, but I think in this case, it’s not so mushy. [...]
Life Unexpected: Everything changes
On Life Unexpected this week everything comes crashing down on Cate’s head. We really just wanted to give her a hug by the end – while at the same time feeling like she only got what she deserved.No hugs for her in the show, though. ‘Life Unexpected’: It’s a rocky road
Cate (Shiri Appleby), Baze (Kristoffer Polaha), Ryan (Kerr Smith) and Lux’s (Brittany Robertson) worlds went through a major overhaul this week, paving the way for what I imagine will be the first of many rocky roads ahead. How fitting then that it started off with Cate and Lux having a sweet mother/daughter moment in which Cate gave Lux the essentials for surviving a breakup: rocky road ice cream and money for retail therapy. But how sad that the most luxurious item Lux could think of to buy was arm warmers. You can splurge on some new makeup or a pair of shoes now, Lux. [...]
LIFE UNEXPECTED Asks a Moral Question So I’m Taking an Informal Poll! Team Cate or Team Baze?
On tonight’s episode of LIFE UNEXPECTED “Crisis Unaverted” there was a serious issue that made me pretty miffed. Newly single, Cate (literally just having been dumped) is begged by Lux to adopt Lux’s friend, Tasha. Cate feels remorse, but has to say “no” as any realistic adult would do. Cate knows herself well enough to know that it’s difficult enough handling just one new child, and now she’s lost her partner and will be having emotional instability. More than that, Cate doesn’t know Tasha at all. [...]
Life Unexpected Review: “Crisis Unaverted”
Life Unexpected really showed us the whole meaning and reasons why it is best to tell the truth. As much as it hurts to do so sometimes, it is always better than telling a lie. Lies never stay buried for long and when the truth finally does come out the consequences for lying make the whole situation worse.Point in case, Cate. Cate had the ability to tell Ryan the truth and decided that lying to him was the better option – even though she had a huge talk with Lux to do just the opposite. [...]
‘Life Unexpected’: Cate ends up alone
“Life Unexpected” is the perfect description for Cate’s own life, as every bad decision she’s made in the past few weeks blows up in her face.Cate is working on full cover-up panic mode, stemming from the whopper lie she told Ryan in the last episode regarding her and Baze’s sexual escapades. She fully admits she needs to tell Ryan the truth about her indiscretion, and yet spends the rest of the episode doing whatever she can to make sure she isn’t found out.
